Your reputation is your most important career asset and zTalent makes it easy to collect and leverage it in order to help you stand out from the crowd, and the best part is that it costs you nothing.
zTalent members build up their reputation and establish credibility by earning reputation points. Reputation points are not only attached to members as an overal metric but also to their individual skills and experiences.
Reputation points are easy to accumulate and come from a variety of sources. Here's some ways you can build credibility by earning reputation points:
Every test has a set of skill tags associated with it. Skill tags are words or phrases that indicate the specific skills and knowledge that the test covers, such as the name of a particular aspect of a programming language, or the name of a technique used in brain surgery or cake decorating. When you correctly answer a question you earn a reputation point for each skill listed for the test.
Anyone looking at your profile can not only see your overall reputation but your accumulated reputation points for individual skills.
List your experiences and invite people you know (in your network) to review them. You earn reputation points every time someone reviews and agrees with one of your experiences. Note that zTalent takes relationships into account, so a review by your former boss will carry greater weight than one by your grandmother.
Contribute tests. You can earn reputation points every time someone answers a test question within a test you contributed and gives that question a positive rating. You can even earn reputation points for questions contributed by other members because it is your test and you are responsible for approving the overall content. The best way to build test is to invite people you know who really know their stuff to contribute their best questions.
Contribute test questions. Any member can contribute a question to a test. We at zTalent recognize that the best questions are created by the people in the trenches, because they reflect real world knowledge. You earn a reputation point each time somebody answers your question and gives the question a positive rating.
Become a test reviewer. You're an expert on a topic that an existing test covers. Contact the test owner and offer to become a test question reviewer. You'll earn reputation points for any positively rated questions in that test.
Request a background check. zTalent provides the ability for you to request that an independent, professional background check be performed on you (for a fee). Background checks verify that you are who you say you are and are a fast way for you to earn more reputation points.
Note to recruiters: This feature accelerates your candidate pre-screening process, saving you time and money.
Now that you've seen how easy it is to build up your reputation, why not get started? Here's a checklist to help you get going:
Become a zTalent member if you haven't already. It is free and only takes about 60 seconds.

Enter your experiences in your professional profile. Start with one or two and invite some people you know you review them. You only need to start with one or two and don't have to do them all at once. Here's how
Contribute some questions of your own. Maybe you took a test and were expecting to see a question that you were never asked. Here's your opportunity to show your stuff and earn more reputation points when other people encounter your question. Here's how
Enter your resume in your personal profile. It won't build your reputation but when recruiters start noticing your skills they will be able to learn more about you.
