I'd wanted a way to bring my mountain bike to the trails without needing my car and a new Hobart welder for Christmas was just the ticket.
It took a while to design and fabricate but the result was better than expected. I designed it to keep the weight close to the motorcycle's center of gravity and I don't feel it much at all when I'm riding.
In a street full of Harleys my little pile of Home Depot pipes drew a lot of attention. |
The rack was designed to not require straps to hold the bike securely. That said, I still bungee it down for peace of mind. |
